Welcome!

I am a Ross Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University. I work with David Penneys, Micah Chrisman, and Thomas Kerler.
I received my PhD in Mathematics from UC Santa Barbara in 2025. My advisor was Stephen Bigelow. I received my Mathematics B.S. from UC Davis in 2014 and my Mathematics M.A. from the University of Oklahoma in 2017.
Research:
My research interests are broadly in quantum algebra, operator algebras, and low-dimensional topology. My thesis is on subfactor planar algebras, which is a subject with connections to a variety of mathematics including tensor categories, knot theory, subfactors, mathematical physics, and representation theory.I particularly like topics related to the following:
- Diagrammatic algebras; skein theories; planar algebras
- Higher categories; 2-categories; fusion categories
- Knots and their invariants; TQFTs; topological quantum computing
- Subfactors and their classification; standard invariants of subfactors
- Quantum symmetry; quantum groups; Hopf algebras
- Classification and structure of C*-algebras; nuclear dimension of C*-algebras
- Skein algebras; skein modules; cluster algebras

Current Activity:
- I am a co-organizer of the upcoming AMS Special Session on "Advances in Quantum Topology, Tensor Categories, and Diagrammatic Algebras" at the AMS 2025 Fall Eastern Virtual Sectional. The full program will be posted here.
- I am running for the role of Mentee Board Member for the Operator Algebra Mentor Network.

I am beginning a postdoc at The Ohio State University, working on subfactors, planar algebras, and tensor categories. I have been a member of OAMN since 2023, and the network has been incredibly helpful to me in providing both support and opportunities for connection within the operator algebras community. I am excited at the prospect to serve on the board to help advance the mission of this outstanding program. Having founded and led UC Santa Barbara's Association for Women in Mathematics chapter, I bring leadership experience and a commitment to community-building that I hope to contribute in support of the network’s future.
